Michael Arnold Post, aged 61, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2015 . Born on January 28, 1953, in Owasso, Michigan (to Donald and Leona Post), he grew up moving between Michigan, Arizona, Washington and California . Michael moved to Mount Ida in 1994 to be with his mother and other family. He soon began work at Munro & Co. at the Mount Ida plant where he made many friends, later moving to the Lake Catherine plant, leaving the company in May, 2014, to fight the final leg of his long battle with cancer.

Michael enjoyed life being surrounded by his immense family. He is predeceased by his father, Donald Post of Chandler, AZ . He is survived by his mother, Leona Mae Brown (Mount Ida), . sister Christine Post (Chandler, AZ), sister Dona and Paul Madland (Beaverton,OR), brother Patrick and Elizabeth Post (Lakewood, CO), brother Timothy Post (Lakewood, CO), brother Rory and Brenda Brown (Mount Ida, AR), brother Charles and Robyn Brown (Port Orchard, WA); nieces Erica Madland (OR), Sarah Post (CO), Misty Averett (OK), Christy Rieves (WI), Patti Brown (AR), Tara Currie (AR), DeLainey Brown (Mt. Ida, AR), Crystal Brown (WA), Rebecca Brown (WA), and Charlene Brown (WA); nephews Robert Madland (OR), Donald Post (CO), Rory Brown, Jr. (TX), Lee Currie (AR), Nathan Kirby (AR), Kory Kirby (AR), and Tyler Kirby (AR). A large amount of extended sisters, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles spread out between Wisconsin, Washington, Texas, Louisiana, Michigan, Florida and Rhode Island .

It is Michael ‘s wish that we remember him in our own individual way, celebrating his life. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers or food, Michael would like donations made to any
Children’s Cancer Research.

Cremation services are being handled under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home, Mount Ida.
